i know kerala has been highly recognised as a state with casteist and fairness of skin are considered superior by given lot of opportunities. As a malayalee i am feeling ashamed today. That there is not even a minute increase of this mentality towards darker skinned people. Why can't you find a dark skinned girl from kerala ( i am pretty sure there is plenty of em. I appreciate your intentions to create a series with a story of a dark skinned girl being criticised in this society. But painting a fair skinned girl black is the most demeaning and disgusting ever.. She looks ugly when painted black.. as it is a chemical mixture (make up)put on her face...i know dark skinned girls are pretty..like nandita Das , Nirosha and even silk was dark.. they were appealing to the general audience. I hope this serial gets condemned Very soon in the future..only Happens in kerala.
